I'm amazed at the number of CA plates that say something like MYLEXUS
or AMYS CRX.

We're willing to hold off on this one Ray, in case VT decides to go for
8 letters.
Last year when it was about renewal time I was considering personalized
plates. I posted a message about this to the fordnatics list and got a
bunch of replies recommending against it. The consensus was that a
Cobra with personalized plates says "kit car" to most people. What I
had in mind was CSX2282, so I'm not sure anyone but a Cobra savvy person
would have even noticed. I finally decided it wasn't worth the extra
money.
