I was told last week by a neighbor (during a conversations about excess
cars parked on the street by another neighbor) that there's a local
ordinance (Gwinnett County, GA -- NE Atlanta) against having cars
parked in your yard versus your driveway! It sounded as though this
was more than the typical "no clunkers" law. I'm sure its target is to
make sure you don't own more cars than you own driveway space, but the
implications were that you could get a "ticket" for parking in the
yard like I do when I clear a path out of the garage for the TR-6.

Oh well, maybe one day there'll be a big farm in the country with
my name on it...

Joe - We have owned as many as nine (9) cars for a family of seven! (We
have five children.) The three "old cars" are stuffed in our garage while
the new iron sits about the neighborhood. Fortunately we live next to a
city park and enjoy a lot of curb space. It has been easy for us to
scatter our fleet about in such a way as to avoid the local ordinance
against abandon cars. It is difficult to find us in violation as long as
we license the cars, but there is a provision pertaining to vehicles that
are not moved every so often. We have elected to avoid confrontation by
driving our cars and by using "creative parking."
