Under the Wings - British Car Show was held last weekend at Quonset
Point, Rhode Island by the New England British Car Club. This isn't
a big show, probably about 80-100 cars. Quite a showing of TC's,
a TR2000, MGA's (including a twin-cam), a bunch of 3000's and TR-6-7-8,
Spits, and B's. Really nice Bentley and Jaguar sedans and an extremely
clean XK-140. One interesting part of this show is that it is held "under
the wings," this means that the cars are parked under a bunch of
old airplanes at the Quonset Point Air History Museum. This museum isn't
full of spiffy, restored planes. It's full of bits and pieces of old
planes
which museum members are trying to stick back together. Kind of
an appropriate place for a British car show, at least for some.
