Regarding the gathering of British cars in Lincoln, NE last Sunday,

What struck me about this show is the variety that was present. Of the
50 or so cars that showed up, there was at least one of each of the
following:
Austin-Healey 100-6
Austin-Healey 3000
Austin-Healey Bugeye Sprite
Austin-Healey/MG Spridget
Jaguar E-type
Jaguar Mk IX (MY choice for Best of Show...)
MG TF
MGA
MGB early, middle, and late examples
MGC w/automatic transmission - looked to be in original condition
Sunbeam Tiger
Triumph TR3
Triumph TR4A w/ surrey top
Triumph TR250
Triumph TR6
Triumph GT6 Mk3
Triumph Spitfire, early (mine)
Triumph Spitfire 1500
and probably a couple more I've forgotten.
I guess I'm a little surprised because Nebraska is not exactly a hot-bed
for LBCs. I have only seen a handful of the "normal" cars driving around
town (MGB, Midget, TR6, Spit 1500) since I moved here 2 years ago. It's
nice to know there are a lot more around than I thought. All in all, it
was a really fun show: beautiful weather, nice group of cars, relaxed
atmosphere, and met a bunch of nice people. Thanks for putting it
on Jim!
