I'm finding this thread really interesting, but would probably not
have added my story if it were not for the fact that one JODY LEVINE
is slowly writing mine for me! ;-)
Let me say that I am a white male and a gear head BUT do not consider
myself to be minddle aged. I am 39 so NA NA NA ! Really I am.
Next year, when the MAY-OCT insurance goes on the cras I'll be 40,
but I plan to live WAY past 80 and become a big problem.
THe background is BritMix, but I grew up almost totally in New
Zealand and CAnada. (Now Ray, before you say, it no I never grew
up totally, I mean the location was mostly these two places.
The over education process was a degree in divinity a Queens U, and
another in pre-law and philosophy. No jobs for PLatos were in
the local paper so I got a Masters in LIbrary/Computer science.
Somewhere in there I was a professional artist (pottery/porcelain)
for seven years, running a studio in a 125 year old house on the Credit
River. For money I was a welder.
I find life and people who take it too seriously VERY funny.
Greatest fault is a lack of delicacy. I say things like " Too bad
I'm not a black crippled female who was a victim of something. I'd
be president of Xerox in the 90s !"

Life priorites in order of importance:
Being a Dad. Being the sig. other. Goofing off. Old Machinery. The Job.
(The Job is running a research library and running the LAN)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE.
I can't say this at work in case I offend any other cultures.
