Okay Richard, what you stated was correct for rod and main bearing
clearances, however, the question and answers concerned how to measure
thrust bearing clearances, i.e. how much does the crank move *forward*
and *backward*... THIS you do by measuring the clearances with feeler
guages, or dial indicators, or etc.....
The real *pros* make sure they understand the questions ( What? Me
jump to conclusions??? *NEVER*!!! ;-> ) ...
