Phillip -- in response to your question about why the x +100x
format is so important....
Last year, in my first time doing Nationals registration (and
only my second trip to Nationals) I wondered the same thing. Why
does it matter?????
Answer (regardless of how rational or not it may be) is that it
is to make sure that there are enough cars to run between the
first driver and the second driver a) so that the event doesn't
get held up doing driver changes and b) to reduce the second
driver's advantage of warmer tires -- or something like that.
Maybe those of you with more experience have a better answer.
