Went to a recommended body shop at lunch time, and talked to the owner.
He showed me some of the nice work he'd done, and took a look
at the GT6. He said if I delivered it too him with the original paint
roughed with 300 grit, and all the bits taken off/masked, he could shoot
the primer (then let me wet sand it) then shoot the paint for $325 labor
and materials all in. This sounds very reasonable to me. He was
recommended by two seperate sources, so I feel confident in his abilities.
He said he would use 3-4 coats of a special primer that goes over laquer,
then urethane.
Sound like a deal?
