Jim,
I had the Aquatreads installed on my 1980 TR7 Convertible for a little
bit. I wasn't too sure how they would work so I convinced the dealer if I
wasn't happy I could bring them back after about 1 week. I wasn't happy.
They were noisy and seem to let go a lot sooner than I thought they should.
This was in Seattle, so I got to use them in the rain alot. I ended up with
a set of Roadhandlers SCR which have worked out great so far. They have
about 25k on them and seem barely worn in. They handle good in the rain and
great on dry pavement. The only problem is that they are from Sears. When
I had them installed the guy handed me the spacers from the lugs and said,
"We found these on the studs they shouldn't be there we had to really wrench
down on them to get them tight" AAARGH, the guy took one look at my face
and jumped behind the counter. Needless to say Sears ended up financing a
set of wheel and studs and I watched them install them correctly, "Say you
weren't really planning on using that air wrench were you?" "That's right,
use the torque wrench"
Except for the installation problem they have served me okay. YMMV.<pun
intended>
