My "recently" acquired MGB does the same thing, but being Triumph Guy, I
haven't checked it out, hoping that someone here will tell me what it is.
So, all you 'B people, what's up?...

Peter Schauss writes about needle fittings in ZS carbs..

But the real question is: Exactly how does one do the needle adjustment on
these carbs (assuming that you do indeed have the tool that fits down in
the tube). Can this be done with the engine running, or must you shut
it down (since the damper has to be out)? After rebuilding the carb, I'm
running a little rich.

Finally, I was cleaning out the boot of said recently acquired '76 MGB, and
found an (apparently from-the-factory) case containg a pair of bent bars.
They fit together to look vaguely like a roadster-top hoop, with a small
flange welded onto each end. Are these the "tonneau bars" that someone else
recently discussed? What do you do with these things?
