Someone just asked about stripping paint so I thought I would throw in
my $.02 worth. I think it may have been Ray Gibbons (if not I am giving
Ray the credit, anyway) who suggested the use of the 3M abrasive wheels
that resemble seaweed on a stick - well I just cleaned every last bit of
paint off of the TR6 using these little gems and they worked great
(Auto Palace had the best price). They come in regular and if you look
around you can find the double-wide (which are great for larger flat
areas like doors, hoods, etc.).
The real reason for my posting is to ask about folks experiences with
interior packages. The TR6 comes out of the paint shop this weekend.
So the next order of business is the interior. I need it all: seats,
carpets, panels, everything. As I was thumbing through the VB catalog I
noticed a $999. interior package that does just what I need. The
question: has anyone purchased one of these kits??? Any comments with
respect to quality, fit, appearance??? Any other sources that I should
consider for this stuff???
