Well, wedged between the wheel humps and the front of the 26' U-Haul
sits the '69B, fuel tank drained, driven in and over the High Center
wheel hump with ramps and floor jack concept, on SU Bowls alone
then left to idle till fuel gone, she's now mostly gasless, & Fumes,

well, after sealing in 4 mill plastic, hopefully all to be well,

The '73BGT went to the texas chainsaw massacre........she was a badly
rusted and bondoed and fiberglassed bottom chassis car, worth the new
sills and work to restore her correctly in maybe 10 years time, so....

Jim Udkler at MG Cosas in San Antonio, a great parts supplier, and beats
any other price by 10%, policy.....at-least, ,,,,anyway he bought the
GT Specific glass and hatch door attached to the body shell, I towed her
down behind the '85 V---O, then pulle the fron and rear ends and wheels
and bagged all the greasy stinky parts up in big Hefty Cinch sacks,
taped the ends with packing tape and the car is now several boxes, and
about a dozen plastic bags, a bonnet and other miscellaneous.....sure
to be needed in due time as my daily driver wears on........

It was a difficult and somewhat sorrowfull sacrifice to make...but
there a many much better chassis outr there, and Jim will never crush a car
he will find a buyer or someone will have a wreck and need a rear clip,
or time will pass, and perhaps someone will restore her chassis.....
anyway........(don't know how to make an ascii frown face...)

so, thats the bad news........the '71 goes on the autotransport that was
initially reserved for the V---O, but airlines won't let you fly a dog
when it is over 85 Degrees outside, so I couldn't fly the dog out
till maybe October.....!!!! and so, versus kennel or driving out
in advance, which I have not had the time to try doing, Joanne drives,
and Polly (the dog,,,,Dalmation/lab.....IE: Black Dalmation)drive
I get the cat, and Gillian gets her choice.....of rides.....

well, so if you live between Texas and North Carolina and see a big U-haul
with a Tan '71B on the Transport, and the ALL AMERICAN SOAP BOX DERBY #124
Icon on the Side....Honk and wave furiosly......

And, well, I have dropped Mark a note to Unsubscribe....we will pick up a new
account as Joanne, the Academic in our familly comes on line in a few weeks
hopefully,

So, tilll next notice.....TTFN, this certainly has gotten to be a wonderfull
list,,,,,although I would have gotten the garage packed a lot sooner if
I had not read the digest so thoroughly over the last months.......oh well

I will still have our account, and may dial in to this box from my
laptop on occasion over the next 10 days if anyone wants to say hello
and I will forward mail from UT to UNC once we have an account, there is
a little money left inthis account........

Was lovely 100 degrees today as we loaded up the MG.....YUK, lots o sweat..

TTFN
Jim Fink
;;;;;
Oh, anyone going to MG's on the Green in September, in I believe it was
Charlotte....?

chow..
