She's not alone. A dear friend lovingly restored his MGA recently. The car is
beautiful but initially leaked oil, gas, coolant *and* brake fluid, raising the
leaky British car reputation to a ridiculous new level (and all the MGA's
fluids
to ridiculously low levels!) All the fittings were barely more than finger
tight,
because my friend (a very bright but non-technical salesman) did not *know*
how tight to make them and feared breaking fittings off.
>From this experience we coined the term: "Schindler Tight" for anything not
quite tight enough. A year later, he has finally overcome his initial fear of
breaking things and his MGA no longer leaks from every fitting.
