About those old HS6's from Volvos:
I think we touched on this about a year ago but I took a pair of HS6's from
a RHD '68 Volvo something (I can look it up in the SU tuning guide) and
rebuilt/rebushed them. Then using HS4 throttle linkages slipped them on
to my stock MGB manifold. Then work very well, except for the SLIGHT tilt
of the float bowls. How Silly am I to not have a 1.75" intake manifold?
I really am using the bigger carbs with a Piper Blueprint cam and free flow
exhaust. Finally I wasn't sure what needles to use, so I bought some for
a TR4 2.0 litre figuring this would be a good approximation. How strongly
do you feel about Colortune? Do I need to have a fellow enthusiast drive
the B whilst I straddle the engine bay and risk my life to get the color
reading under load? How about a camcorder?
