Believe it or not, this is the dream engine of every SP autox'er. Tis a
71 1/2 MGB. A rare, half breed engine. It is basicly a 72 -> with the
big valves, better flowing head, crappy simplex timing chain, etc. But it
has the earlier 8.8:1 compression rather than the 8.0:1. This doesn't make
it worth any more, though. The only difference between it and a 72 is the
higher compression pistons. AE sold more of these 8.8 pistons that supposedly
fit only a half model year, than they did the 8.0's, which fit 9 model years.
Oh, and the car this one came out of had overdrive. Now, if that was included
in the deal... :>
