There is an all-breeds car show June 11-12 in Manchester VT, at Hildene,
the former home (he's dead now) of one of the Lincoln boys, Robert Todd
L., I believe. It is a lovely area, and there is usually a decent lbc
turnout. The self-same weekend in the same town is a hillclimb up Mt.
Equinox, sponsored by the Vintage SCCA. If the weather is decent, there
generally is a nice array of unusual vintage sports cars, ranging from
ex-Indy Hudsons, to lbc's of the more interesting variety (such as Lotus
7's, a prewar Aston Martin or two, etc. You cannot see much of the race
(only the start), but they generally let spectators roam freely among the
cars at the bottom. It is fun to see a BMW 507 roar off up the hill.

As for a Rover, you would not have to go very far off of I-89 to see
whatever Rovers North has for sale. But call them first; I have not been
by there for years and don't know if they sell cars any more. They used
to import ex-NATO Landies and resell them. They are, I understand, beefed
up more than the civilian cars.

I shall be at Manchester if the creeks don't rise, as will George
Haynes, and I know we'd enjoy meeting you. If you plan to stay overnight
there on Fri or Sat night, better reserve something now, however.

best wishes,
