This bounced when I tried sending to Ken Neff, so here for all:
> Well, I went ahead and bought an American replacement fuel pump for my Midget.
> It's a Carter, and is supposed to put out between 5.5 and 9 PSI.
> Fuel was merrily bubbling out of the jets and down the carb throats,
> past the butterfiles and into the intake manifold.
SU's want to see 2-3 PSI. Anything more will blow past the float needles.
Pumps are available at that rating. (Or you can add a regulator, doubling the
cost. That's only needed when you need high flow- ie. race engines.)
