I would concur that the rocker cover gaskets are leaking. Don't stop here however, there may be excess pressure due to blocked breathers, especially since you have an older engine. If yours is like my '79 carb'd Rangey then there are two flame traps, one between each rocker cover and carb. Clean them out in your preferred solvent. High crankcase pressure has been known to blow the valley seals on this engine - not a disaster, but a waste of time. Hope this helps, Cheers, Steve. |
