Thanks to all that responded to my carb. overflow problem. I am unable to thank
them all
(even though I was able to get throught to some of them) individually
cos' I nuked (or was nuked) my mail file ...
I did find some sludge at the bottom of the float chamber and cleaned that out,
also for what it
was worth, I changed the needle and seats on the two SU's, and the float on
one. The problem has been rectified, but adjusting the nylon/plastic floats to
the correct level is a real bummer (they
are supposed to be pre-adjusted). I was able to get some copper washers (also
made supposedly by
SU ??) to fit between the seat and chamber cover.
The MGB now runs ok, except for the fact that it sometimes runs-on after
switching the ignition off
... expect this has been covered a million times before !!
Oh well ...
Thanks again for all the help.
