Kazuhiro IGETA - you ask:

         >RS1800 is bore downed RS2000, isn't it?

No, the RS1800 was an Escort MkII with 1800 alloy BDA and two
downdraft carbs.

Just to summarise the production RWD RSs (from memory):

RS1600 : 1601 BDA (iron, then alloy) in a strengthened Escort MkI shell
RS1800 : 1800 BDA in strengthened Escort Mk II shell
RS2000 : 2000 SOHC "Pinto" in Escort Mk I or Mk II "droop-snoot" or MkII
flat-front Uruguay version (Ford Uruguay only).
RS2600 : Ford Germany V6 (Cologne) Capri with Kugelfischer injection
RS3100 : Ford Britain V6 (Essex) Capri homologation special.

You could buy Ford Rallye Sport (hence 'RS') bits for your Escort, and
so lots of people would call their Escort an RS (wrongly).

An 1800 rally Escort could be a twin-cam bored out, or a BDA, or even
a Kent bored out. Don't forget the London-Mexico rally was won by an
1800 Kent Escort, chosen in preference to the twin-cam for durability.

Paul.
