There was an article back in the January issue of Harper's Magazine
concerning ideas for channels when the world advances to the 500 channel
system. The ones in the article were pretty tounge-in-cheek, but a few
of us in the lunch room have come up with an idea and are interested in
trolling for venture capital:
"The British Car Channel"
This is your chance to get in on the proverbial ground floor as a
"principle" in the corporation that will produce the programming. Some
of our ideas include:
-time lapse episodes of rust forming on bright work on a TR4A in Boston
-home movies of car washing rituals
-static tuning a Swallow sidecar
-Garage of the week
-Lives of the dull-witted and destitute (aka LBC owners across the continent)
-hours upon hours of stationary camera shots of British car shows
-How to duct-tape a rear window
-Hourly weather reports for those without wind up windows
-Music videos by "The Oil Spots"
-much much more.
So, think about it. Heck, the market is taking the deep six, so you folks
