I have 165/70 R13 tires on a 1974.  Those extra 2cm of width certainly add some
stickiness to the handling.  These are an "optional" tire size, as referenced in
tire store books.  The diameter is close enough to the 145SR13 that the 
speedometer is as accurate as before.
