I haven't been on the list since I lost my job back in mid-November. So I'm
back for a bit while I give this America Online a free trial. Haven't
decided to keep it yet.
For my re- introduction;
I own a pair of 1973 Jensen Healeys, one in pretty good shape and another
that came home
as a project but ended up as a parts doner. I'm currently the treasurer of
JMC, the Jensen
Motorcar Club, which is a bay area chapter of the AJO or Association of
Jensen Owners.
I'm also an SCCA scrutineer in the SF region, although I havent been very
active lately - I'll
probably only work a few vintage events this season.
I thought that being laid off would give me a lot of time to swork on the
cars, but it just ain't so! The job hunting takes a lot of time! Actually
I'm back in school thanks to Uncle Sams'
JTPA which is a displaced worker retraining program. Anybody need a UNIX
system administrator with a previous 15 years of mainframe (boat-anchor :-)
tech support experience?
P.S. The Jensen and Austin-Healey National Conventions just happen to be at
the same hotel and on the weekend this year. So I hope to meet any fellow
SOLers who make the journey this year. Look me up if you be there!
