Manufacture your own carpet templates from rolls/sheets of brown wrapping
paper.  Lay the paper out where it belongs, mark it over-size, cut it, retry,
trim, retry until it fits.  You then have your template.  If you screw it up,
get another piece of paper.

Can a local hardware/plumbing supply store you with a hand
le & mold for a recastable lead head hammer?  They used to be an off the
shelf item.  LBCs aren't the only thing in the world that needs a soft but
heavy hammer.  Lead melts real good over a Coleman white gas camp stove. 
Wear eye protection, leather shoes & have good ventilation when casting.
