>From the Rumor Propogation Department (RPD is SOL-speak):
I have heard that the founder of Moss Motors is a Sprite man and has an
active dislike of Spitfires due, I would imagine, to the two being in
the same general market. As such, he never bothered to stock or sell
parts for the Spit unless they happened to cross over with some other TR
model. That changed when they bought out a bunch of parts outfits in
England, one of which happened to have a Spitfire 1500 catalog (Cox and
Buckles, I think) which Moss now uses. There is no support for earlier
spits from Moss though, so I vote with my dollars and try to buy all of
my LBC parts from TRF and the few other parts houses that at least make
an effort to support my early spit.
Guess that turned into something from the Soap Box Department. Sorry,
but I sure feel better for having said it!
