Dan, you have received some good advice already and here's a little more.
I would pull the carb bodies off and check the pistons inside the carb.
They tend to get carbon coated and could stick over time. Pull them and use
WD 40 then wipe them down with a very soft cloth. Also, consider what
shape the jets in the carbs may be in----the rubber could be dry rotted.
So much for starting it----now driving it is another question---there are
numerous things you will want to check before doing that--but that's
another story.
Re. the tire size, I use 185's on mine, and they don't contact the
car---look better to, I think.
