One more thing to remember if someone is converting a non overdrive trans, is to install the lockout swithes in the top of the transmission. These are the switches that prevent the solinoid from being energised except when the car is in certain gears. (in the TR2-3-4 the overdrive can be used in 2nd, 3rd and 4th speeds) (in the case of the TR6 only 4th is used) It is very important to not actuate the overdrive in reverse. If the car is moved in reverse while the overdrive is engaged it can trash your nice expensive overdrive. -Dick |
