Hi all,
Just got off the phone talking to a desk drone at the Mass. DMV. She
seemed to think a) I didn't need a title for a '76 car
b) then decided i did need a title
c) then decided that my the VIN on the car is not the VIN!!!!
Let me just check with some spit owners...the VIN is uder the hood,
near the door/main bulkhead...i.e., on the right hand side
of the car as you look at it from the front. Just like the diagram in VB??
My number is 33792FM, does this sound like a VIN for a '76/'75 Spit???
Also, do they sometimes put the letters FM in front of the number, because
the photocopy of the WRONG title shows the VIN as being FM336170, furthermore
the VIN on the bill of sale is FM4384U (this sounds like an engine number!!!!).
Enlightenment anybody???
