Tough to post this ad after the deal Marcus got, but:
FOR SALE: 1974 Triumph Spitfire 1500. Pimiento Red.
-80+k miles
-Excellent, strong (later, but NO smog equip.) single carb.
stock engine
-transmission, diff, etc. fine
-original soft top OK (definitely needs windows and snaps)
-original boot cover and tonneau good (both need a few snaps
replaced)
-interior: upholstery good; dash pad has one crack; wood OK;
carpets are history
-body/frame are about what you'd expect of a Northeast car.
Looks great from a distance. Structurally OK, but needs usual
rust repair, etc. Never wrecked; no bad bends; cheap PO repaint
hides some really mediocre bondo sculpting.
-Car is driveable, although currently brake M/C, headpipe and
alternator need attention (rebuild/replace?)
$1600. Am willing to deliver free within approx. 100 miles of
Albany, NY.
Also, 1975 Spitfire 1500, Inca Yellow, similar but somewhat more
solid body/frame situation; NO ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION. $800;
$1000 with matching optional factory hard top with special soft
top boot cover (hardtop missing some attachment hardware).
Hardtop $350 firm separately. Same delivery deal applies with
car (hardtop only, you pick up).
