I spoke to Caterham and yes it is a standard Triumph Spitfire trunion :-) He
may be interested to know that they now use a propreitory solution meaning
that they dont use the trunion at all on cars since about 2-3 years ago. The
seven also used the Spit's front hub and brake assembly as well until about
the same time as far as I know.
I have always believed that the trunion was a weak link on the Spitfire (I had
to replace both on my Spit) so Caterham seem to have made a decision in the
right direction.
What did you think of the road test I posted recently ? Are there any takers
of a sun audio file if I can get one together ?
