'Annealing' the copper by heating and quenching works very well, but the softened condition is very easily reversed by 'working' the metal (i.e. stressing, bending,shakingetc.)*. Steel is probably the way to go. Marcus *Taken from 'O-level' school metalshop notes from a long time ago. |
