OFFICE MEMO TR 2's at LeMans, MG Limo Date:10/8/93
I have a video of the '55 LeMans, in which along with the Mercedes tragedy and
the Jaguar victory, a TR 2 got stuck in the sandbank and the driver had to dig
the car out with his hands without any help from spectators. He got back in the
race, and all 3 Triumphs finished.
There was an MGB 4 passenger stretch limo at the Chicago 1993 British Car
Festival. It had a TV, VCR, Nintendo, crystal decanters, and a giant sound
system. I think the owners were promoting it for use in weddings. It had no
top, and there were holes in the body between the front and rear doors,
apparently from the windshield of the donor car.
