**** Look at each end of the pushrod. Is there a ``tit'' at the end? If
so, it's worn. The pushrod tip wears all shiny at the end except at the
spot around the oil passage hole in the lifter or rocker arm. Hence
the tit, which shows you how much shorter the thing is than when it was
new.
