I'm looking at picking up a '80 TR7 Roadster. The scoop is that it runs well
but the tranny is "rough".
1) Generally what else should I look for? Are there rust problems, cronic
body or trim problems, tell-tale signs of pending engine trouble (other than
a compression check)
2) Assuming the tranny needs work, how hard are they to remove and rebuild.
Better to just look for a replacement?
I'm also looking for the archive site for this list. Please e-mail me
directly as I'm a subscriber to the digest only, and hope to take a
good, close look at the car in question soon.
