Hi,
I just bought a '74 (1275) Midget and the engine needs rebuilding. I was
driving it to the shop when the temp. soared and the oil pressure dropped
through the floor.
Compression is low in cylinder 2 (0.6), but after the overheating problem the
motor has started to freeze up...hence the rebuild anyway.
This will be my first attempt at rebuilding a motor...I have Clymer manualwhich
seems ok. However, I would appreciate some freindly hints and tips from someone
who has done this before...specific things to look out for regarding wear and
so on. I have approx. $500 with which to do the rebuild and would appreciate
guidance to where to best spend my money.
