Well, I know most of us are the British Sports car variety....
BUT....It's english....twin SU.'s....an H High Compression Engine
and a four door sedan.....Hmm, not bad for rainey cold weather..?
....probably not...just drive faster....well

Found..near Austin in complete, condition a '58 MG Magnette
four door sedan..good chrome, glass, body... "usual" line of rust
along door sils, floors seem ok, of course being outside, the
"carpet" is peeling up and looking old under there and I haven't
probed with a screwdriver yet...but looks pretty sound for a
quick over and under look..

Chassis # is easy to remember.....33332 and engine has a similar
#.

Anyone interested, these volvo people who have it are anxious to
find a better home for it...they just had a title search done and
all is sound. the current person in possession, Don wants around
$750. for a starting position and then will listen
after that.....

Hey.....wood dash, well was veneerish looking now relatively
peeled but....turn signal of chrome mounted in the
center of the steering wheel and all.....she's quite
english.....and basking away in the heat....

Drop me a line if anyone interested in knowing more....also have
missed any threads of value for such a car....I heard said they
were only made for three years....is that correct.?

I noticed that the magnette is not listed in the Old Cars Price
Guide.

Oh yes...LEFT HAND DRIVE !!

I am going back out to this shop friday or saturday,10th, 11th
and can look at more specifics if your interested...Love to help
this ole girl find a home.....looks driveable...with a share of
TLC.....

ALSO.....I haven't caught up on my BCD since Sept.1st postings..
but I've noticed that some of you guys seem to be ON-LINE...with
responses to postings within a few hours of each other.....
Is there a West coast network, or is there a way to monitor this
list throughout the day. I get this list in one large file every
evening....How do ya do that...?

Thanks...
Jim Fink
