My SOL merchandise order arrived Monday. As the proud owner of a
brand-spankin'-new SOL mouse pad, I'm the envy of all of Intergraph
(they just don't know it yet). And when I wear my fashionable SOL
t-shirt to the next club meeting, I'll be envy of everyone there as
well.
But the part of the order that thrilled me the most was the
packaging. The items had been inserted into these high-quality
zip-loc plastic bags, just the thing for storing nuts, bolts, fuel
pumps, or whatever during an engine rebuild!
Big thanks to Pat V. for finally getting this show on the road, and to
Ed D. for the original logo design. Just to satisfy my own curiousity,
I checked the SOL archives this morning. From the time the concept of
SOL t-shirts was first discussed until the orders were taken was just
under 3 years. With a record like that, we could all probably get
engineering jobs with BMC/B(p)L!
