The clutch of my 78 Spitfire was just replaced and now I'm experiencing
some problems with it. The clutch pedel does not work smoothly,
it comes up jerky and it does not return to its full height while
driving, but it will return to its full height if I tap on the pedel.
The pedel and the clutch cylinders works smoothly and return to its
full height when I shift through the gears while the engine is off,
or when I shift to neutral when the car is moving. I have already
changed the seals on both the master and slave cylinder with no effects.
What was replaced was the clutch plate, cover and release bearing.
Did I missed something? Any suggestions will be appreciated, thanks.
Dave
PS: I'm also looking for advise or comments about the Grose-jet valve for
the Stromberg carburetor. Do they do what the manufacture claimes and
are they worth it?
