If this happens _after_ you switch off, I'd say perhaps your coolant
is boiling in the block. Have you checked the strength of the coolant
recently? How about a pressure test of the system? A weak reading on
either can allow steam pockets, etc., to form and to push coolant out
wherever it can go.
