I am relatively new to this alias, this my have been discussed long ago, but... I have a 1951 MGTD, and I have been using a lead substitute in the gas (I forget the brand). Recently the car started misfiring badly, and it turned out that the plugs were badly fouled with, I assume, the lead substitute additives. Is there some brand that is better than another? Do I really need to add this stuff? Would an electronic ignition help keep the plugs clean? Any advice would be appreciated. thanks. -gbeck |
