We'll be looking forward to this one. Thanks Paul.

Speaking of new Rovers, I read in a recent Motoring Section of The Sunday
Times that Rover have badge engineered a new car based on the Honda Accord
hatchback (which we no longer get in the US). There was a picture and it
looked gorgeous. There was a picture of the Honda too just to compare
cosmetics. The Rover will have a completely different interior (wood trim,
etc) and very slightly different sheet metal. I forget the series designation
(read the article at least a month ago); trying to remember... 850i?

I'd be very interested to see a list of all current Rover cars, with their
series numbers, engine capacities, 0-60 times, etc, and to see if they are
unique or badge engineered with cars like Hondas. Anyone? Thanks!

Oh yes, one last piece of Rover info. I just received my latest issue
of "British Marque". The editors were very disappointed with the New
York Auto Show owing to both Jaguar and Rover not being present (albeit
the Jag XJ220 was on display). One reason for Rover not being at the show
was because they "boycotted" the event according to some spokesperson.
The show is divided into two floors with all the trucks and utility vehicles
(including a Lambourghini [sp?] 4x4) on the lower floor and all the cars and
exotics on the upper floor. Apparently Rover thought their Range Rover
belonged on the upper floor stating something like the Range Rover was
more than just a truck or utility vehicle and belonged upstairs with the
luxury cars. NYAS said no, so Rover didn't show! (Hey dat rhymes!)

        Cheers and Happy Motoring!
