For those fans of the "Italian Job", get a copy of the 12/14 Autoweek.
Theres an article on the Italian Job...actually on the fact that
Rover is producing a special edition "Italian Job" Mini (in
red, white or blue) with lights, etc ... a la the movie.
There is a group in the UK which does an "Italian Job" run down
to Italy every year in their Minis and they are planning a
25th anniversary (of the Italian Job) run down to Turin
next year.
Also according to the article, the E-type convertible that
gets smooshed in the movie (848 CRY) is alive and well -
it was rebuilt after the movie. Aparently the bus is
still alive and well living in Scotland and hauling
canoes and rafts.
Sadly, none of the Minis have survived.
