Aren't there instructions in the Moss catalog for doing this?  Maybe I saw it 
in a newsletter,

Anyway, the instructions said to remove the plate on the top of the steering 
rack (2 screws if I
remember).  You have to be very careful with the shims.  Elevate the front end 
and turn the
wheels all the way one direction.  Slowly pour a pint of 90w in while someone 
slowly turns the 
wheels all the way back the other direction.

This is supposed to be a lot less messy than filling through the gaiter.  
Worked for me, but I had the
engine out of the car at the time which made getting to the top of the rack a 
lot easier.
