The way I understand it, the walls of the manifold are heated to prevent fuel
from condensing. The choke on a side-draft Weber is manual, so control of an
automatic choke is irrelevant.
I believe that it is technically not a choke at all, but a fuel enrichment
device. A choke works by "choking" the air. This thing works by adding some
fuel.
I think this is how it all works. Since I agree with O'Kane, I am not the best
guy to ask about these matters.
