I noticed my aerial does not retract fully. Looking in the manual (service
and haynes) they only say how to remove the aerial and motor assembly.
I pulled the motor/cable-unit out (still attached to the aerial) and took
the metal cover off the "cable-spool" (the one with the drain tube attached)
to reveal a plastic plate and spring loaded pressure plate. At this point I
looked hard and thought I'd better seek help before I do anything else.
I have a feeling that the "cable-spool" has slipped and is shutting off the
motor too early (thus leaving about 2 inches of aerial sticking up).
Any help with this beastie in my boot?
