Re: TR-7 HELP!!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hopefully, some out there has an answer I have been looking for for
quite a while. I AM DESPERATE!!!. I've got a '77 TR-7 with an automatic
transmission. (now how many of those could exist?) that went through a
complete tranny rebuild kit. Rings, seals bands everything, and I put it
back in the car. Got the carboretors (sp)synchorniozed, and reattached
the transmission downlink cable. Trouble is, now the transmission is
terminally in 3rd gear. there is no shift whatsoever. If i want low
gears, or to go through the normal shift progression, I have to do it
mannually. I know this has to be the adjustment for the transmission
downlink cable (this is hooked between the transmission and the
carboretor throttle assembly). Does anybody know more about this
swubject that can help me out? So for the only answer I have been able
to come up with is 2 or 3 sticks of dynamite that will eliminate the
entire problem>
