I usually jack once at the front and once at the rear.
From the front I jack where front cross member meets
the longitinal frame member, even thou I am jacking off
center and the car doesn't go in the air squarely, you can
get the car high enough to get a jack stand under the
low side. The other method I use is to get a 2X4 long
enough to stretch from one longintinal frame member to
the other to distribute the weight to both frame
members. Do not jack up the car with the jack under the
front cross member, without something to distribute the
weight to the frame members as the box section is not strong
enough, and will cave in over time. I place my jack
stands under the longintinal frame members near the
suspension mounting points
At the rear I either jack the car up under the
differental or under the cross member under the trunk
(the bolt that holds the spare tire fits right through
hole in the jack's cup). I place my jack stands under
the longitinal frame members as far forward as
possible.

In the eight years I've owned my car, I've never
replaced any electrical part beyond bulbs and
headlights. My guess would be wiring problem, or
harness problem.

My guess would be your mechanical Oil pressure guage has
a leak.
