Here's a good one from the rebuilding of the fuel pump:

    13. Stake the casing round each valve in six places with a
        suitable punch.

>From the picture it seems you're supposed to deform the surrounding metal to
the valve to hold in the place, the same way some simple pins are retained.

That dousn't seem like something you'd want to do more than once.
