The following little item appears in the July issue of Cars & Parts, and it
would seem logical to post it here (reprinted without permission, of course!):

ENGLISH FORD CLUB
An English Ford Owner's Club has been formed "for anyone who has ever spent
half an hour trying to explain to a parts guy that Ford did indeed make such
a car." The founder is Mark Becht, 1445 Sheridan St., St. Louis, MO 63132.
Becht notes that English Fords "often are passed over in favor of Great Bri-
tain's more glamorous marques, yet are as much of British motoring history"
as any other make. He refers to himself and other English Ford owners as
"sufferers of the Dagenham Ford bug," the Dagenham reference being to the
huge plant in which Ford vehicles have been built for the past 60 years.
Thanks to Michael Byrnes, of Houston, Tex., for forwarding literature on the
club.
