If your read Throughbred and Classic Cars, you will know that on
of the staff has a Rochdale as his "rally" car. I believe the engine
is from a Triumph Herald.
I had a feeling from the clues you gave out that it would be a Rochdale,
do you know which one it is ? the Mark I or Mark II. They are easily
identifiesd by the rear hatch. The Mark 1 just has a window and the Mark
II has a opening hatchback. I also believ that they were assembled using
Ford "Kent" engines. Years ago I went to see one, while I was living in
the UK, and almost bought it, but I seem to remember it being Ford
powered.

BTW : Is the car in NJ, I would be interested in seeing it. I also
have several article about the car if you need them. I bought a book
called "Specialist Sports Cars", which features almost every single
special car made in the UK, since 1950's -> 1970's.
